We are 2, Belinda and I, Toby. We are travelling the world for 2 years after giving up our high earning jobs (high in our opinion!) and seeking adventure, enlightenment and whatever else comes our way! Belinda is 40 and I am 38, I married Belinda on October 10th 2004 and have loved every moment of married life! I was born in Ibiza, Spain and this is where I think I get my travel bug from; my parents left England in the late 60’s in a camper van, my Mum 6 months pregnant with me and my Brother just 1 year old travelled around Europe, then crossed to
Ibiza, got high and ended up staying for 12 years. I popped into the world in 1970 and had the most fantastic childhood swimming, chilling and relaxing- now I am going to follow in my parents footsteps, but hope I get a bit further than Spain!
We have waited until Gemma and Kirstie (our 2 beautiful daughters) had grown independent and flown the nest, then decided it was our time to live life, see the world and travel! And here we are – living the dream!
Well Toby and Belinda – just to wish you all the luck in the world as you follow your dream. I hope it will be full of exciting, enlightening and the most wonderful happy adventures. I’ll miss you loads and loads but look forward to following your travels via your blog and hopefully meeting up with you somewhere during the next two years! In the meantime good luck with the house in France and see you at Christmas!

woohoo, go guys…
ok you’re embarrassing me here with such fantastic writings…
I have been travelling in my campervan since Oct 08.
I chose a camper for a few reasons;
a) i cocked up my finances creating a huge project (which i pulled off, but lost all my resources in so doing), so on verge of bankruptcy (and let’s be honest, verge of suicide at having done this to myself… money makes such a diff!!)
b) i have a ten year old boxer dog and even though i got a worldwide passport for him, i didn’t want to fly him anywhere
c) a camper provides the ultimate freedom… “should i turn left or right? or indeed, should i stay here for a couple of days?”
d) a camper also provides cheap accommodation (usually free as i normally choose not to pay for campsites)
and i have been writing in my journal everyday and updating my facebook profile (http://profile.to/dynamicmike) but i have been terrible at putting it into an online blog
so well done guys… i have LOVED reading this blog!!
smiles
Mike 😉
